Securing LNG for growing global demand

The Natural gas/LNG business domain is the core business of the Energy Business Unit II. The energy industry is entering a new phase in which it must respond to climate change while meeting growing global energy demand. In the ongoing energy transition, it is believed that natural gas/LNG will play an important role as a pragmatic solution that contributes to the supply of cleaner, sustainable and affordable energy, and supports the global response to climate change.

Since participating in the Abu Dhabi LNG project in the 1970s, we have become widely involved across the entire LNG value chain, from LNG production to transportation and marketing. We are participating in major LNG development projects throughout the world, including Abu Dhabi, Australia, Qatar, Oman, Russia, Indonesia, the U.S.A., and Mozambique.

We strive to ensure the stable long-term supply of LNG while also aiming to further strengthen our LNG business, leveraging our network of relationships with customers, gas-producing countries and project partners. We are focusing on enhancing our natural gas/LNG demand/supply adjustment function in the global market, and LNG logistics utilizing our own LNG fleet.
