Using film to communicate bahan(horse-logging), an ancient 'new' forestry technique

Project Description

Introducing initiatives that use bahan, a method of transporting logs and offcuts from forestry by horse used in areas without forest roads, for purposes ranging from construction to energy. The project investigates and records film of initiatives that utilize living resources and seek to build a sustainable and environmentally-friendly society through the local production and consumption of energy in farming and mountain villages made possible by the collaboration of people and animals. It also holds symposiums, film screenings and workshops to help spread awareness of these traditional techniques.
