Angkor's water environment regeneration project

Activity grant

Project Description

Students of Bayon Junior High School, located near Cambodia's Angkor Wat, with the support of our centre and local NGOs conduct waterfront surveys, cultivation and pick up garbage from nearble Tonle Sap lake amongst other environmental conservation activities. Junior High School students who learned the importance of preserving water resources formed a water environment protection club and are sharing this information with younger students including junior school students as well as sharing the results of their activities with local residents and future junior school teachers. We aim to regenerate Angkor's water environment throughout the entire region.
