Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) has been selected as a "Nadeshiko Brand" for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. The designation is jointly awarded by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange recognizing companies that demonstrate excellence in empowering women.
The reasons cited for Mitsui's selection in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026 included its initiatives and achievements in the areas of "support for consistent career development from recruitment to promotion" and "gender-neutral support for dual careers and co-parenting," as well as the linkage between Mitsui's management strategies and human resource strategies (including the empowerment of female employees).
Mitsui positions human capital as a vital element of its management foundation and a key driver of sustainable value creation. To further strengthen Diversity & Inclusion across Mitsui & Co. Group, Mitsui has been enhanceing its various measures, such as accelerating the advancement of female employees (including the development of female leaders from diverse backgrounds), providing enhanced gender-neutral support for work-life management, and promoting new workstyles designed to propel the personal growth of individual employees.
