Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) has agreed to establish MY Regional Revitalization, LLC ("MY LLC") through its wholly owned investment company, Mitsui & Co., Principal Investments Ltd. ("MCPI"), jointly with Japan Post Bank Capital Partners Co., Ltd. ("Japan Post Bank CP"), an investment company wholly owned by Japan Post Bank Co., Ltd. ("Japan Post Bank", Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Director, President, and Representative Executive Officer: Takayuki Kasama), with the aim of supporting regional industrial development. This will mark the commencement of joint investment initiatives involving Mitsui & Co. Group, including MCPI, through the operation of M Sigma Investment Limited Partnership, in which Japan Post Bank will be the main investor.
Mitsui has made the "sustained evolution of domestic business" a priority focus under its Corporate Strategy set forth in the Medium-term Management Plan 2026. Meanwhile, Japan Post Bank focuses on identifying specific financial needs at the regional level, providing capital funds from a medium- to long-term perspective, and supporting its investees by working alongside them to propel their growth and solve problems. Mitsui and Japan Post Bank will capitalize on their respective business strengths to drive this joint investment initiative.
Mitsui has promoted investment business initiatives through MCPI to help investees with problem resolution and value enhancement by making optimal use of the knowledge, networks, and other assets of Mitsui & Co. Group.
