Comprehensive research on farming-type solar power generation combining farm revitalization and development of renewable energy

Research grant

Project Description

This project will involve rice being grown on four paddy fields under varying conditions, including one under shade, and one utilizing technology that works to minimize the impact of the shade. The differences in rice crop yields and quality will then be studied. Through model analysis, we will simulate the economic efficiency of farm-type power generation, and the impact on power generation systems. Farm-type power generation contributes to higher incomes for farmers and also works as a global warming countermeasure through the spread of renewable energy. We will also provide comments on policy aimed at ensuring a good balance of this. [No. R16-0039]
