Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", head office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) has received the Best IR Award 2025 at the 30th Annual IR Awards organized by the Japan Investor Relations Association ("JIRA").
The JIRA annually awards listed member companies that demonstrate a deep understanding of the principles of IR, actively engage in IR activities, and receive high regard from capital market participants.
Mitsui has previously received the Best IR Award in 2008, 2018, and 2019, as well as the IR Special Award in 2014. In addition, the company was honored with the IR Grand Prix in 2021.
In 2025, following the prescribed interval after receiving the Grand Prix, Mitsui was once again awarded the Best IR Award 2025.
The Selection Committee of JIRA cited the following reasons for the award:
"Top management maintains ongoing dialogue with the capital markets and effectively reflects investor feedback in management. The company's leadership directly explains the rationale behind large-scale investments and key points of the medium-term management plan, while implementing capital policies that incorporate an investor perspective.
The IR division continuously enhances investor understanding by holding Investor Days and business briefings, enriching content aligned with investor interests. The company also conducts tailored IR activities for individual investors, taking into account their investment experience and needs. Furthermore, the company actively works to enhance its Integrated Report and to disclose sustainability-related information that contributes to the enhancement of corporate value."
Encouraged by this recognition, Mitsui will continue to further strengthen constructive dialogue with all stakeholders, including shareholders and investors, and will work to further enhance the quality and depth of its disclosures.
