Mitsui & Co. Ltd. ("Mitsui," head office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) has been awarded 1st place for the "2025 Awards for Excellence in Corporate Disclosure" by the Securities Analysts Association of Japan in the category of general trading companies. This is the 10th time in total and the 9th consecutive year that Mitsui has been awarded 1st place. Mitsui also achieved the highest overall score among all of the 284 companies in the 17 industries evaluated.
The award selection process is carried out by the Corporate Disclosure Study Group, established by The Securities Analysts Association of Japan, who evaluates the quality, volume, and timing of each company's disclosure practices in accordance with the following criteria: (1) management's stance on investor relations, the function of a company's investor relations department, and a company's basic stance on investor relations, (2) disclosure by means of meetings, interviews, and explanatory materials, (3) fair disclosure, (4) ESG disclosure, and (5) voluntary disclosure of information based on the conditions of each company's respective industry. Mitsui was awarded 1st place across all five criteria for the 2nd consecutive year.
