Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) has launched the Mitsui & Co. Co-creation Fund.
The Fund is a social contribution program that replaces the Mitsui & Co. Environment Fund which was established in 2005, and supports activities that create pathways to solutions to social issues by combining the knowledge of external "Issue Finders" who discover social issues, such as NPOs, researchers, and social start-ups, with the business experience of Mitsui.
The Fund's grants range from ¥10 million to ¥100 million per project, and two projects will be selected for funding each year.
Mitsui will co-create with like-minded Issue Finders through this Fund, aiming to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society not only in terms of business activities in countries and regions around the world, but also in terms of social contribution activities.
