Mitsui offers its thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted by disasters of cyclones in Mozambique.

Northern Mozambique was ravaged by Cyclone Chido in December 2024 and again by Cyclone Dikeledi in January 2025, leaving many people in need of assistance, especially food supplies. Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) has responded to this situation by donating rice and maize flour worth US$50,000 with the aim of contributing to an early recovery in the region. The food will be distributed to victims in the provinces of Nampula and Cabo Delgado through Mozambique's Instituto Nacional de Gestão e Redução do Risco de Desastres ("INGD", National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction).
