Well-being Management
Mitsui has identified employee health as a management priority and has implemented health management measures since formulating the Mitsui Health Declaration in 2017. In recent years, there has been a significant shift in social value systems, and today, not only physical health but also mental health and social fulfillment are seen as vital aspects of well-being.
These changes were reflected in “Mitsui's Commitment to Employee Well-being”, which we formulated in 2023. This defines “well-being” as a state in which people can embody our company's long-standing ethos of “Challenge & Innovation” with vigor and vitality. We are working through a structure administered by the CHRO to achieve further enhancement of specific initiatives to create working environments in which people can be themselves, respect each other’s values, and work with motivation and enthusiasm.
