On a chilly and rainy Sunday morning, 28th July 2024, Mitsui colleagues in Melbourne rolled up their sleeves for the annual National Tree Day tree planting event.
This year, a total of 30 staff and family members from Mitsui & Co. (Australia) dedicated their morning to participate in this meaningful activity.
Our little helpers stole the show with their adorable enthusiasm, making it a joy to watch them contribute to the planting efforts. Together, they helped plant indigenous shrubs, grasses, and flowers, proving that even the youngest among us can make a big difference!
On this day, 4,000 baby trees were planted on Australian soil, with hopes that they will grow into beautiful trees in the coming years.Established in 1996, National Tree Day has become the largest tree planting event in Australia. To date, National Tree Day has successfully planted over 27 million trees across the country.
Mitsui offices began participating in this event in 2015, and it has since evolved into our annual ‘One Mitsui’ activity, showcasing our commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
