Mitsui colleagues in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth have again got their hands dirty at the annual National Tree Day's tree planting event on 30 July 2023.
A total of 57 staff and family members of Mitsui & Co. (Australia) and Group Companies (Mitsui Resources, Position Partners, Mitsui Iron Ore Corporation, Mitsui Bussan Woodchip Oceania and MIT Hydrogen Australia) have dedicated their Sunday mornings to participate in the activities in each city.
The little helpers did not only melt our heart with their cuteness, but did a great job helping to plant all the trees in less than an hour!
On this day, 4,000 baby trees were planted on Australian soil across the country, which will hopefully turn into beautiful trees in coming years.
Established in 1996, National Tree Day has become the largest tree planting event in Australia. Each year, 300,000 volunteers get their hands dirty on this activity, and to date, the National Tree Day has planted 26 million trees across the country.
Mitsui offices started participating in the event in 2015, which has turned into our annual ‘One Mitsui’ activity since.
