On Thursday 20th of April MCA welcomed the UWA Business School back to Mitsui’s Perth office for our annual boardroom luncheon event.
As part of an ongoing relationship with UWA, key university staff including Professor Peter Robertson (Dean of UWA business school), Associate Professor Warrick Van Zyl (Director of External Engagement) and Amanda Fritz (Director of UWA Education, Innovation and Enterprise) were hosted and more students than ever before – 15 of UWA business school’s best and brightest, four of whom are undertaking master’s degrees.
Led by Mitsuaka Nakao, General Manager of Perth Office, along with individuals from Mitsui E&P, MIMI, Shark Bay Salt, and Mitsui Iron Ore Development, the luncheon introduced students to Mitsui’s history, investments, and green transformation.
Students were able to actively engage with the group company staff and explore what type of opportunities and pathways a career with Mitsui can offer. It was insightful to hear their ambitions and discussion topics ranged from finance and commercial partnerships to Mitsui’s corporate culture.
This event is an important avenue to hear from and interact with Australia’s business leaders of the future and showcase Mitsui’s dynamic presence in WA.
