Fifteen of Mitsui’s fittest and fiercest athletes
recently lined up to compete in the Melbourne leg of the Australian Corporate Triathlon.
Five teams of three competitors each completed either
the swim, the bike leg or the run to combine for a single time.
Mitsui tax accountant and team organiser, Roy Ng said
the benefits of participating in the event were threefold - having fun with
work mates, completing a difficult challenge and raising funds for
charity.
“The Corporate Triathlon is a fantastic
event and it really built camaraderie amongst all of the people who took part.”
“Everyone who competed trained really hard in the lead
up and it gave them each the opportunity to challenge themselves to take
their fitness to another level.”
“Our colleagues, family and friends were all a great support
in sponsoring our efforts. We raised over $2000 for the Smith Family, an education
charity that do amazing work with Australian children living in poverty,” Roy
said.
