On a recent warm evening in Sydney’s Centennial Park, Mitsui’s Sydney office GM, Masayuki Koyama and Administration Coordinator, Yukiko Hennessy joined more than 10,000 runners from across 425 companies for the19th annual JP Morgan Sydney Corporate Challenge.

The Corporate Challenge is a worldwide series of 5.6-km running events open to groups of full-time employees from organisations within the business and public sectors.

Companies use the event as a platform to promote health and fitness in the workplace, foster goodwill and camaraderie among participating companies and show commitment to the community and environment.

The event also makes a difference through a donation to not-for-profit organisations in each host city and is the world’s greenest road race.

“It’s great to be part of community event that brings the participants together, encouraging and celebrating each other’s achievements.”

“I really enjoyed both the fitness and the social aspects of the event. I hope to do it again next year and aim beat my PB time.” Yukikosaid.
