Mitsui Iron Ore Development recently hosted a Women in Mining alumni networking lunch at its Perth headquarters.

The event brought together a dynamic group of women from across the mining industry to share stories and expand their professional networks.

MIOD Managing Director, Takahiro Doiuchi welcomed the alumni, acknowledging their ongoing contribution to the sector and their essential work in progressing the development of women in the mining industry.

“Encouraging more women to pursue and continue a career in mining is critical to promoting better productivity, innovation and performance in the sector,” Mr Doiuchi said. 

WIM advocates for women in the mining sector, informing industry participants and decision-makers of the challenges and opportunities women are finding in pursuing careers in mining companies and other mining-related businesses.
