Chairperson and CEO of Mitsui Australia, Mr Noboru Katsu recently joined other Mitsui volunteers, grabbing a bag and putting on gloves to collect rubbish from across Royal Park in the Melbourne.

“We all need to take responsibility for looking after the environment and this activity was a great opportunity to take action to help clean up before the rubbish pollutes our precious parks and waterways,” says Mr Katsu.

The ubiquitous plastic bottles and takeaway coffee cups, golf balls, shoes, and even a tent were just some of the items the team of volunteers removed from the parkland.

“Working alongside each other to protect our local environment is a genuine demonstration of Mitsui’s active community involvement,” Mr Katsu says.
