On five occasions throughout 2018, 18 employees from Mitsui group companies in Perth acted as Food Rescue Cargo Cart volunteers.

The Food Rescue Cargo Cart project is a Perth-based initiative to salvage city café food such as sandwiches, wraps and rolls and redistribute them to homeless people in the city. 

“The cargo carts are a great concept. It’s good to be involved in something that cuts waste and delivers help,” said Kelly Riva, Office Coordinator at Mitsui Iron Ore Development.

Through sunshine and rain, the team salvaged almost 500 items to help feed people in need.
