During March, 57 employees and family members of Mitsui group companies volunteered for Clean Up Australia Day collecting rubbish at sites in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

Since the inception of Clean Up Australia Day in 1990, Australians have donated their time to collect over 331,000 tonnes of rubbish across the nation. This event inspired the United Nations Environment Programme to launch Clean Up the World in 1993 –for which some 35 million volunteers in130 countries mobilise annually.

We were part of a nation-wide effort at 6,000 clean-up sites around Australia this year.
