Operation of a website to search for emergency medical facilities in devastated areas
Research grant
- Project Description
In devastated regions we have confirmed that medical institutions start up temporary clinics or offer irregular medical treatment that local self-governing bodies are not aware of, and there is considerable confusion. Our goal is to take the Hospital Navi website that has already been developed and publicized as a medical information database, and use it in devastated regions so that people can easily gain access to medical information. We have asked medical associations in each of the affected prefectures to collaborate with us. We have asked the prefectural medical institutions to participate in Hospital Navi. Inputting data from each medical institution onto Hospital Navi enables the public to use the Internet to search for the locations of medical institutions or any clinics that are currently open. In addition, we have prepared an app for smartphones which can be used in conjunction with the phone's GPS function to show users the location of the nearest medical facility.
