Adults in the region are putting forth their best efforts in response to the issue of how to protect and raise children who will become the next generation in an environment that will continue to have low doses of radiation following the accident at the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant. Through the Koriyama City Project for the Emotional Care of Children After the Earthquake, we will particularly focus on providing and creating environments where children can play and exercise, supporting the emotional care of children and offering advice for child raising, and conducting educational activities on knowledge related to radiation and related health damage.

- NPO PEP Network of Child Care in Koriyama was established so that we as the adults of the region could realize an approach towards how to protect and raise our children who will live in an environment that will continue to have low doses of radiation following the Great East Japan Earthquake. As we have been affected significantly by an earthquake, Koriyama we would like to develop a nurturing environment for the healthy mental and physical development of our children.
