- Project Description
In areas affected by the Great East Japan earthquake, isolation of elderly people and the elderly dying alone are problematic issues. Our research focuses on elderly support bases in relation to temporary housing to 1. investigate the factors leading to isolation and social withdrawal for elderly people in temporary housing, 2. clarify the role of elderly support bases in light of this situation and 3. consider how to support elderly in temporary housing in the future to prevent isolation and encourage social participation

Background
Entered Kyoto University Graduate School withdrawal of PhD in 2005,but joined the Ariake National College of Technology, Architectural Department Assistant before completion in 2005. Became a lecturer in 2006 at Kagawa University's Faculty of Engineering Department of Safety Systems Construction Engineering. In 2009, took the post of Assistant Teacher, and subsequently became a lecturer from 2013 to present.
