Towards the common goal of "Carbon Neutrality by 2050", the disclosure of environmental metrics is becoming a key priority for many companies and municipalities. However, due to the complex nature of the issue, "not knowing where to start" is not an uncommon theme. There may be organizations that struggle even at the first juncture of their journey, understanding their current carbon emissions.

To accelerate Japan's decarbonization, Mitsui is gathering its global industry knowledge and business experience to launch a new service platform "e-dash". In addition to calculating CO2 emission data from invoice data and providing organized reports, "e-dash" is a holistic service that also provides recommendations and implementation support for cost and CO2 emission reducing initiatives. From streamlining data collection and report preparation workflows, to providing specialized knowledge to implement various CO2 reducing iniatives; "e-dash" will support clients to effectively and efficiently manage their energy and sustainability related issues.

To meet all energy and sustainability needs as the best partner for companies and municipalities to reduce their CO2 emmissions, "e-dash" will continue to develop new features and services.

One of the priority areas identified by Mitsui in its Medium-term Management Plan 2023 is "Sustainability Management; Evolution of ESG", while the company's vision for 2050 calls for the achievement of net-zero emissions. Furthermore, Mitsui has identified the Energy Solutions space as a strategic focus, and places initiatives that contribute to the global fight against climate change as key business area. Through "e-dash", Mitsui will contribute to the achievement of an eco-friendly society by supporting the decarbonization efforts of companies and municipalities.
