Project Description

Elevated areas serve an important purpose by allowing escape from tsunamis and supplying drinking water and fuel. Miyagi Prefecture Forest Instructors Association will develop a hybrid environmental education and disaster prevention forest incorporating educational and disaster prevention functionality. The association is building a "life-water network" of spring and well water, and carries out tree-planting activities in disaster-prone areas. The aim is to achieve disaster restoration and a better future.
