Creating 5 million tons of "Forest J-Credits" to protect and nurture Japan's forests together with companies.
Japan has abundant forest resources, but there are issues such as the aging of postwar plantation trees and the low rate of reforestation. One solution is the "Forest J-Credit," which values the amount of CO2 absorbed by forests as carbon credits.
