Mitsui & Co. (Thailand), Ltd. is a significant location in the global network of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a global trading, business management and project development company originating from Japan. We cover the full range of Mitsui’s business segments with our 240 staff and maintain close contact with about 40 group companies in Thailand and representative offices in adjacent countries such as Laos and Cambodia.

In 1906, Former Mitsui* opened an overseas office in Bangkok as a front-line base and initiated trading businesses in the greater Mekong region. Such fronter spirit remains unchanged today. The current Mitsui & Co. opened a representative office in Bangkok in 1951, then expanded its trading business and have been promoting investment projects across various industries. We aim to thrive together with the local society and are working to sustain social infrastructure such as oil and gas exploration, electric power generation from natural gas, tap water supply, refined sugar production and more.

With all our staff, I would like to capture local market needs and provide solutions having spirits of “challenge and innovation” as Mitsui’s consistent value in global. We also place great importance on coexisting with the local community in Thailand and are actively pursuing CSR activities, such as the Doi Tung Development Project. We aspire to build tangible and intangible assets in this region, together with our Thai staff, towards a future 100 or 200 years hence.
