On June 24, 2009 the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mr. Primakov E.M. welcomed the Chairman of the Mitsui & Co. Moscow LLC, Chief Regional Representative in CIS countries, Managing officer of the Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Sakamoto Noriaki.

Mr. Sakamoto has told about the course of realization of "Mitsui" corporate projects in Russia. At present, the corporation participates in realization of a number of projects in Russia, the most large-scale of which is "Sakhalin-2" project. The total amount of investments and the financial support provided by "Mitsui" for subsidiary and affiliated companies in Russia is more than $ 3 bln. "Mitsui" plays a significant role in the field of trading exchanges between Russia and Japan.

Mr. Primakov and Mr. Sakamoto have discussed the strategy of company operation presented by the Japanese side in Russia. The representatives of "Mitsui" have offered to hold a presentation of company development strategy this autumn in the Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The given offer has been supported by the Russian side. Mr. Sakamoto has thanked Mr. Primakov for the practical recommendations given by him at the previous meeting with "Mitsui & Co. Moscow" company management last year in November.

Another participant of the meeting was the Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mr. Petrov and the General Director of "Mitsui & Co. Moscow" Mr. Meguro.
