Our activities focus on business development, trading, and financing for the land, sea and air transportation industries by continuously looking for ways to improve the domestic business ecosystem. We aim to create opportunities by leveraging resources from our global network and quickly responding to market conditions and growth.
Mitsui Indonesia is committed to providing solutions to our stakeholders in areas such as sustainable development, decarbonization, and urbanization, as well as offering Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS).
We also offer a wide range of services related to machinery solutions for more efficient operations.
Key Projects
- Automotive (two-wheeled)
- With a history dating back to the 1980s, Mitsui Indonesia is regarded as the longest standing Japanese trading house that is directly involved in business development activities and the trading of motorcycles in Indonesia (via investment in Yamaha). We move forward together with our partners to respond to changing customer behaviors.
- Financing: Bussan Auto Finance (BAF)
- As part of our relationship with Yamaha, we have grown into a financial provider for various business lines with an ever-expanding customer base.
- Automotive (commercial vehicles)
- Building on our longstanding partnership with the Penske Group, we are pleased to be part of their expansion efforts into Southeast Asia. Through the joint venture “IndoPenske,” Mitsui, Penske Truck Leasing and Indorent (a subsidiary of Indonesia's prominent Salim Group) will offer a comprehensive range of commercial vehicles to meet higher demand of mobility products and to contribute to the Indonesian economy by providing well-maintained trucks that are designed to tackle freight transportation-related issues.
- Ship trading and brokerage
- We are engaged in activities that contribute to the sustainable development and the strengthening of commercial ship businesses by supporting the growth of domestic shipowners.
