EverGlide is a masterbatch of engineered polysiloxane dispersed in either PE, PP, PA or PET thermoplastic resins and comes in an easy to mix pellet form.

Mechanism (internal and external process aid)

• Some of the material attaches to the metal surface and reduces friction against the metal wall (external)
• The rest remains in the melt and allows the polymer chains to slide over each other more easily (internal)

Result

• Lower die pressure and lower machine torque or energy input (external)
• Reduction in apparent viscosity, allowing process temperatures to be lowered

Other advantages:

• EverGlide is FDA-compliant, but unlike many other processing aids, it is not migratory.
• Materials produced with EverGlide can be painted as well as printed
• Easy to mix pellets
• Lower CoF
• Lower surface roughness
• Reduces or prevents buildup on nozzle lips /Dye-buildup
• Internal/external lubricity during processing
• Lower mold pressure and torque
