1. Credit Manager (m/f/d) -Full time 38,5 hours/week - permanent

Your tasks:

-You are responsible for the risk management including credit risk, market risk, country risk and investment risk for Mitsui's business within the EMEA region (mainly for Mitsui & Co. Deutschland GmbH) and affiliated companies
-You prepare quantitative and qualitative analyses and assessments of the risk profile of our business partners, advise and instruct the business departments and provide the managers with recommendations during the decision-making processes regarding credit lines, 'long/short' limits and investment projects
-You will visit and interview business partners and credit agencies to conduct the research required for risk assessment and gather the necessary information
-You will monitor overdue and overdrawn credit lines and 'long/short' positions, identify the causes for negative development such as overdraft of credit limits, elimination of credit limits, overdraft of risk volume, etc. You will advise and instruct business departments to take appropriate actions and precautionary countermeasures and make necessary reports to the management
You will advise the business division on appropriate activities and preventive measures and prepare reports for the management

-You will develop and implement strategies aimed at collecting bad debt losses throughout the EMEA region. During the collection activities you will negotiate with debtors, insurance companies, lawyers, insolvency administrators, bankruptcy liquidators and courts, etc. and actively participate in the collection of bad debts.
-You will support the business departments in coping with sudden negative risk events
-You will carry out internal training courses or similar educational activities with the aim of raising awareness in the business departments of the importance of risk management

Your qualification:

-Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Legal
-Professional experience in the field of risk management (B2B), ideally in an international trading company, commercial or investment banks or credit insurers
-Affinity for figures and analytical understanding, especially in the assessment of consolidated financial statements
-Knowledge of international commercial practice (Incoterms, terms of payment, etc.)
-Knowledge of insolvency law, collateral requirements and collection of claims
-Basic knowledge of accounting and finance (corporate finance, project finance)
-General basic knowledge of international macroeconomics
-Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
-Good written and spoken German skills are an advantage 
-Good MS-Office user knowledge
-Very good communication skills and self-confident appearance
-A high degree of initiative and commitment
-Quick comprehension as well as an independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working
