From 1947 to the 1950s
1947
Daiichi Bussan Kaisha, Ltd. established
1959
Daiichi Bussan Kaisha, Ltd. integrated with other trading companies (Mitsui & Co.'s great amalgamation) and changed its name to Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
1960s
1960
Mitsui's Brussels office was founded as Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Paris Office Brussels Branch, marking the beginning of Mitsui's presence in Belgium and the Benelux region.
1965
Transfer of Business of Kinoshita Sansho & Co., Ltd.
1966
Established Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc.
1969
Mitsui established a representative office in Amsterdam, expanding its presence across the Benelux region.
1970s to the 2010s
1971
Mitsui & Co. Benelux S.A./N.V. was incorporated as a Belgian company and became Mitsui's regional trading subsidiary for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
1976
Otemachi Head Office building completed. Head Office moved from Nishi-Shimbashi, Minato Ward to Ohtemachi, Chiyoda Ward.
1988
Established Mitsui & Co. Europe PLC.
1990s-2000s
Mitsui Benelux expanded its activities and investments across chemicals, plastics, steel, agriculture and nutrition, while supporting business development throughout Europe.
2007
Mitsui & Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd. established.
2020s and Beyond
