Mitsui & Co. is pleased to announce that it has invested in WILLERS PTE. LTD., a Singapore based subsidiary of Japan's leading mobility solution provider WILLER, INC., through a third-party allotment of shares.
Focusing on the growing ASEAN region, WILLERS is pursuing the development and operation of MaaS (Mobility as a Service) platform systems and autonomous driving projects. WILLERS aims to improve the convenience and comfort of travel, while addressing pain points such as congestion, accidents, and environmental pollution.
Mitsui plans to create next-generation mobility services in the Asia-Pacific region by combining WILLERS' strengths in IoT and digital marketing with Mitsui's global network and business infrastructure.
Mobility is one of Mitsui's four growth areas. By providing new mobility services we aim to improve people's travel experiences and address changing social needs and environmental challenges.
