Mitsui & Co. Receives Japan Investor Relations Association's Best IR Award

The Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA) has awarded Mitsui & Co. a Best IR Award at the IR Awards 2018.

JIRA gives awards to publicly traded companies that deeply understand and proactively promote IR, earning high endorsement from their peers. Mitsui & Co. previously won JIRA's Special IR Award in 2014 and Best IR Award in 2008.

The judging committee said the following about Mitsui & Co.'s selection:

"Mitsui's top management is actively engaged in IR and the CFO regularly attends small IR-related meetings, demonstrating the management's willingness to communicate with the investment community. The General Manager and other staff in the IR Division have a strong sense of their role and appropriately represent Mitsui based on information accumulated from across the entire company. Detailed materials are prepared and distributed in a timely fashion, including information regarding management strategy, investment plans, and analysis of variations in profit. Other highly-noted points include the enhancement of non-financial information such as ESG, as well as Investor Days, where presentations are given by management, people in charge of major business segments, and external directors."

Mitsui & Co. continuously strives to strengthen two-way communication with its investors and shareholders, and to improve its disclosure of information.
