As a member of the Basic Chemicals Business Unit of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., which focuses on two core business areas in the global chemicals market – providing logistics services and business investments, the Basic Chemicals Segment of Mitsui's China Bloc has been making a wide range of contributions to the development of the chemicals industry in China.

Industrial salts, caustic soda, soda ash, EDC/VCM, urethane raw materials
- Green-specialty chemicals related products:
Oleochemicals, paper-making chemicals, detergent and surfactant raw materials, alpha olefin and its derivatives, rosin and its derivatives, perfume raw materials, biosuccinic acid, bioglycol, isoparaffin, DIB, cresols and vitamins raw materials, hydroquinone and resorcin, etc.
At present, the Basic Chemicals Segment of Mitsui's China Bloc maintains staff in each of the four Units – Beijing (including offices in Tianjin, Dalian and Qingdao), Shanghai (including offices in Nanjing and Wuhan), Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. The Segment engages in businesses in a wide range of product segments, including methanol and olefin, aromatics and industrial chemicals, chlor-alkali, and also green-specialty chemicals. We make efforts on a daily basis in order to precisely respond to the constantly changing needs of our customers and business partners, while taking advantage of Mitsui's extensive sales network within China and around the globe, as well as the competitive product lineups offered by the businesses in which we invest in various parts of the world.
