An international point of view

Students from some of Japan’s most prestigious universities recently came to Mitsui’s Melbourne office to present their research on addressing the care needs of Japan’s ageing population - “Demographic Change and Response by Youth" - to select Mitsui staff members.
The students were in Australia as part of the Knowledge Investment Program (KIP), a Japanese discussion group founded to encourage Japanese university students to be global intellectuals who understand their own country and can discuss contemporary topics with non-Japanese people.
KIP students embark on an annual overseas trip to interact with foreign university students and visit companies. This provides the students with the opportunity to discuss issues and challenges and gain an insight from an international point of view.
