New York - Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. (Mitsui USA), on behalf of Mitsui Americas, announced today a $50,000 contribution to aid recovery and relief efforts in response to Hurricane Sandy.
Mitsui USA will contribute $50,000 to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, which is dispersing one hundred percent of donations to organizations providing storm relief to support immediate needs, including water, food and personal supplies as well as long-term relief and restoration efforts to help New York City recover from the storm.
Additionally, to support efforts on the ground to aid communities affected by the storm, Mitsui USA will make a special dollar-for-dollar match for Mitsui USA and its qualified group companies' employees’ donations to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy response fund.
