Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc., New York, (Mitsui USA) announced today an $80,000 contribution to assist the recovery efforts in the fire-devastated areas in Southern California. $70,000 of which will aid Direct Relief International (DRI) in their provision of medical and personal supplies needed in the affected areas. The donation to DRI is shared by Mitsui USA ($30,000) and four west coast based subsidiaries of Mitsui USA who will contribute $10,000 each to this effort. They are: Mitsui Comtek Corp.; Hannibal Industries, Inc.; Pacific Coast Recycling, LLC; and Westport Petroleum, Inc.
Also, Mitsui USA will make a $10,000 donation to the J.C.C. Fund to support the Southern California Wildfire Relief Fund. The J.C.C. Fund is the philanthropic vehicle for the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York, Inc.
Additionally, The Mitsui USA Foundation, Mitsui USA's charitable arm, announced that it will launch a special matching program for Mitsui USA and its qualified affiliates' employee donations to nonprofit organizations involved in relief operations.

Together with our employees and subsidiaries, we wish to extend assistance to improve the quality of life of people involved in such tragedies."
Separately, Mitsui & Co.'s California based subsidiary, Ventura Foods, LLC, will make a donation of $10,000 to DRI.
