The Business Initiative and Transformation (BIT) unit is the Mitsui USA vehicle for in-house investment banking, corporate development and investment planning to: provide investment banking services for other divisions, promote new business initiatives, and plan and execute investments of a corporate strategic nature, for the Company.

BIT plays an important role in realizing the synergies among the divisions within Mitsui USA by linking its financial expertise with other divisions' business assets, such as industry-specific knowledge accumulated through the Company's trading activities, proprietary deal flows generated from an extensive network, and a global customer base nurtured by Mitsui USA.
