Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui") announced today that Mitsui and all other shareholders of Kyushu Oil Co., Ltd. ("Kyushu Oil") transferred their entire shareholdings in Kyusyu Oil to Kyushu Oil itself and Nippon Oil Corporation as part of a merger plan of Nippon Oil Corporation and Kyushu Oil. Mitsui's after-tax proceeds from this transaction are estimated to be Yen 4.9 billion.
