Since the 1960's, Mitsui USA's Iron & Steel Products Division has been a leading value-chain provider for the steel industry in the U.S. The Division maintains alliances with steel mills, steel processors, and customers in the U.S. and other countries. Working closely with various vendors, it specializes in Steel Supply and Demand Chain Management (SCM/DCM), manages inventory and process arrangements, and develops steel-related investments.

Business projects and capabilities include tailor-made SCM/DCM by providing customers with logistic services; investments in the steel industry; international sourcing, distribution, and shipping; risk management for businesses; supply chain tracking using our in-house customized STARS system and MLX-F system; and advanced tracking system through value-chain information sharing between clients and the Iron and Steel Products Division.

The Division cooperates with Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries and affiliates throughout the world including Japan, North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Russia and the CIS, Middle East, Asia, and Oceana.
