This is the Mitsui USA Division which deals in power, energy, transportation, and industrial and infrastructure projects in the Americas. The Division manages these projects in plant, rail cars and system sales, finance arrangements and investments through close coordination with its parent, Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

This Division provides total project management, developed over decades of experience that has resulted in strong relationships with its regional and world-wide customers. It is supported by many strategic customers and affiliates that enhance the Division's business capabilities, like: Mitsui Rail Capital, LLC for rail car leasing, Hydro Management Resources Inc. for sea water desalination in the Caribbean, and Hydro Capital Corp. for waste water treatment projects in Mexico, etc.

For large-conglomerate manufacturers, the Division is well noted for its strong capabilities in successful project execution, which includes: financing, logistics arrangements, structural IT support, and nurturing potential businesses around the projects.

An example of the scope of the projects handled by the Division is its US$ 1 billion power plant construction project of a super-critical technologically advanced coal-fueled plant in Iowa, together with Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
