Mitsui Australia offers employees a number of insurance policies, including salary continuance insurance, which pays you a percentage of your income in the event of long-term illness.
All permanent employees are eligible to participate in our motor vehicle novation scheme with our partner Autopia. This can be a very tax-effective way to buy a new car.
We also have a company loan scheme for permanent employees. We offer very competitive interest rates (as allowed under Australian Taxation Office guidelines) that are usually more affordable than commercial loans.
Health and wellbeing
We believe in promoting good health and encouraging work-life balance. Through our partnership with Health by Design - a workplace health and safety provider - we offer all staff members regular comprehensive medical assessments, exercise programs, massage therapy and other benefits to promote health and wellbeing. We also offer free flu vaccinations every autumn.
Mitsui employees enjoy up to 23 days annual leave each year, as we provide three additional leave days - known as Mitsui Days – over the Christmas period. We also offer two days of paid volunteer leave, to encourage our staff members to contribute to the community.
