presence in the arts community, including support of:
- Kiku, The Art of the Japanese Chrysanthemum, fall 2007, at the The New York Botanical Garden
- Heisei Nakamura-za Kabuki performances at the 2007 and 2004 Lincoln Center Summer Festivals
- Modern Noh Plays at the 2005 Lincoln Center Summer Festival
- Amon Miyamoto's productions of "Pacific Overtures" in the 2004-2005 season at the Roundabout Theatre Company on Broadway and at the 2002 Lincoln Center Summer Festival

Hosted by Mitsui USA’s president, a signature program, the "Mitsui USA Music Salon," a private mini-concert series, was launched in April 2003 to give opportunities to aspiring musicians and music students in the New York area in support of and encouragement to their efforts in developing professional, artistic careers. |
