In 1981, to raise funds for the WalkAmerica Campaign for Healthier babies, to reduce birth defects, infant mortality and low birth rates and to increase prenatal care, Mitsui USA joined WalkAmerica with Teams in New York and Seattle leading the way, and Teams in Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. joining soon after.
