The Mitsui USA Foundation operates on its own initiative, with its Board of directors and management developing grants' programs to promote international understanding and deepen U.S.-Japan relations. The Foundation will only consider grants to 501(c)(3) organizations. A program must preferably have support of a Mitsui office in the U.S. community.
The Foundation usually does not consider unsolicited applications. Telephone and email inquiries and applications are not accepted. The Foundation is not able to support: religious, fraternal, veterans and athletic organizations; political and lobbying groups; endowments and building campaigns; films and television productions. It does not provide non-monetary support. |
