In March 1990, the Foundation began a Matching Gifts program to match individual contributions made by employees to charities that are close to their hearts.

For Mitsui USA full-time employees, with at least three months of service, the Foundation will match "gifts" of $25 to $1,000 per calendar year (single or aggregate gifts' total) to qualified organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
